Thieves Break Into Beaver Lumber Co Office
The Beaver Lumber Company office was entered last evening. About 25 dollars in cash was taken from a cash drawer broken open with a chisel. Three one dollar bills twelve dollars in quarters six dollars in dimes and some nickels were stolen. Manager W D Lutes found the entry after the yard gate was forced and an inside window broken. Police are investigating.

K Kornosky of Suffield pleaded guilty at the R C M P court in Redcliff to cruelty to an animal. Sentenced deferred for one week. Prosecution says he placed copper wire through the horse withers and attached a tin can to deter it from leaving a fence and tied the horse’s forelegs, causing festering wounds. J Kappnack of Irvine was fined $10 for carrying passengers in a truck.
