Heroic rescue saves eight year old from muddy culvert
Eight year old Ben Taylor Vallance fell into a deep muddy culvert along Eagle Butte Road as children played nearby. Lorian Taylor recounts how a brave local man jumped into the hole and a nurse in high heels crawled down to stabilize him until Medicine Hat ambulance arrived, with Elkwater fire crews bringing a longer ladder to extract him safely.
