In London on July 31 the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council allowed the Alberta appeal of Royal Trust Company as executor for Dr. W. Paris to be tried for fifth time in Sadie McAuley case

In St John New Brunswick on July 31 John Paris a mulatto accused of murdering Sadie McAuley a crippled 13 year old girl in August 1921 is to face trial for the fifth time. The fourth jury deadlocked ten to two and was discharged by Judge Chandler. Earlier trials produced mixed verdicts and reversals. Constantinople July 31 Allied troops transfer from Asia to Europe across the Bosphorus toward Tchatalin to bolster French forces. The allied staff declares it will not permit any direct advance on Constantinople and will resist violations of the city’s neutrality by Turks or Greeks.
