The party hopes Albert J Beveridge a Roosevelt ally will accept the governorship nomination If he declines Frederick Landis of Springsport or Horace C Stilwell of Anderson may be named.
Rioting at Victoria docks in London injures many as police struggle to control a large crowd of strikers and non union workers. Seven or more shot, numerous injured by bricks and stones. Police eventually restore order as both sides accuse each other of starting the trouble.
Walter James Agland reports seeing a man's body floating in a river while fishing at the point where the creek divides.
