A Japan Airlines All Nippon Airways Boeing 727 with 162 aboard and a Japanese F-86F Sabre collided over northern Japan. The jet fighter pilot parachuted to safety. most passengers were believed dead. 42 bodies found as search continues with thousands deployed. The flight from Hokkaido to Tokyo carried 155 passengers and seven crew.
