Rodeo Stars Tire Late as Kesler Stock Dominates Medicine Hat

Reg Kesler's stock led the Medicine Hat rodeo as Tom Bews Pekisko earned a 70 on Bay Midget in saddle bronc, top score of the day. Larry Mahan Dallas failed to score in bull riding and saddle bronc, posting 63 in bareback to sit seventh. Bews edged Thursday's top, Kenny McLean, by two points. Claypool Saskatoon and Coleman Pearceland tied for third with 65. Bob Hartell held top bull riding with 72 from Thursday. Hern Bindloss rose to second with 66 Friday.

66 Hour Rail Walkout Strikes Western Canada

The 66 hour rotating walkout by 56000 non operating railway workers hit Alberta British Columbia the North West Territories and the Yukon causing stoppages in rail freight passenger traffic and associated telegraph services.
