Deportation Demand Placed on Doulkhobor Leader Veregin

Regina July 27 a demand has been made on the Dominion government for the deportation of Peter Veregin leader of the Christian Community of Universal Brotherhood known as the Doulkhobors. The evidence alleging him an undesirable citizen has been forwarded to the immigration department. Veregin travelled to Winnipeg and met followers to discuss parade laws and the clash with the Sons of Freedom. Citizens in Kamsack cite incitement to disregard laws and fermentation of strife as grounds for deportation.
