Canadian archivist’s wife found dead near Bourne Bridge

The severely mutilated body of Mrs. Biggar, 58, Canadian born wife of Dr. H. P. Biggar, chief archivist of Canada in Europe, was found on the Southern Railway tracks near Bourne bridge at Worplesdon. She wore a nightgown dressing gown and slippers, and investigators believe she was walking in her sleep when struck by a train.

Five Die In Auto Truck Crash Near Bloomington

Five Chandlerville residents including Ezra Vaubhan and Cal N Armstrong with his wife Doris May French 14 killed when the car they rode in collided with a truck en route to the Chicago World's Fair. RAF Expansion Outlined in Commons Plans

London date July 179. Acting Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin outlined a major RAF expansion to four years, adding 41 squadrons and about 4506 aircraft beyond the current authorized rise. The force would rise from about 503 first line aircraft to a much larger total in the plan.

Man Who Hurdled Bottle Is Discharged At Police Court

A man who hurled a bottle at the King and Queen was discharged at the Edinburgh police court. The event occurred as the royal car traveled from Harthill to Edinburgh. The King reportedly asked for the man to be freed. Police noted a bottle burst behind the royal car.
