Lightning Bolt Kills British Father in Didsbury Fire
In Didsbury on July 23 R E Mosley a 37 year old British war veteran was killed instantly by a 42 bolt of lightning and his home burned after a lamp he held was struck. His wife saved her two year old child and four other young children from the flames and then removed her husband's body from the house. The lamp dropped and sparked the fire after Mosley lit it to quiet children during a thunderstorm.
