A crowded sale notice lists Crum's Prints at 12K E for 150 pieces and ladies blouses priced 75c to 2.50, with many items reduced to 50c. It advertises white pique skirts, wrappers, various dress muslins, corsets, and whitewear at cut prices to clear stock, plus carpets and art squares sold at cost to make room for fall lines.
The Town of Medicine Hat seeks to borrow 12000 via 24 debentures of 500 each to extend the waterworks along Toronto Street, Montreal Street, and North Railway Street, plus finish the Breakwater and Well and provide house connections. Debentures run 1903 to 1923 with 5 percent interest and annual rate levies. The by law provides election on August 17 1903 to approve the debt and sets payment terms and officers.
By law of Medicine Hat North West Territories authorizes a debt of fifteen thousand dollars to extend the natural gas system by boring additional wells and extending piping. Debentures of five hundred dollars each will be issued with twenty coupons, and annual rate levies will finance principal and interest at five percent. Election on August 17, 1903 to approve the measure.

Regina July 16 Mr J R C Honeyman has been named deputy commissioner of agriculture for the Northwest Territories succeeding C W Peterson. An English pioneer, he spent five years with the N W M P, joined the Regina Leader staff then the Indian department, edited the Moosomin Spectator, and for years has led in the agricultural service becoming second in command and head of the statistical branch. His varied experience fits him for the new post.
