Edmonton weather brief notes very warm conditions continue across Alberta and Saskatchewan. Medicine Hat reported a low of 70 last night likely a record high minimum for the date. Cooler air is expected to move into Alberta Tuesday with afternoon and evening thunderstorms across the forecast district.
Stampede company director Dirk Scholten thanks Chief of Police A R Bull and volunteers for a record attendance at last week's show in Medicine Hat. He notes public support and minimal complaints despite Friday night cancellations and country attendees returning for Saturday.

The Stampede grounds were flooded by 1.2 inches of rain and hail delaying Friday shows. Attendance fell from 14,814 on Thursday to 6,167 on Friday as midway operations battled waterlogged grounds. Saturday crowds reached 13,431 with last three nights totaling 40,577, down 5,981 from last year.
