Double drowning shocks Medicine Hat river Sunday
Two men died in a Sunday river swim near Strathcona Island as Chas. Wilson and W. H. Shaw attempted a rescue of J. M. Ritchie, who had become trapped in a deep hole. Ritchie, 25, worked at CPR shops and left a widow and child. Shaw perished. Wilson survived, with funerals held at Hillside Cemetery.
