Three masked men looted about 21000 in Fargo North Dakota bound train cash after stopping near Valley City and shooting engineer S V Olson. A waiting auto carried the suspects away as deputies and U S marshals combed the region.

Seattle July 20 former Chief of Police Wappenstein convicted of accepting a bribe from immoral resorts during the Gill administration was sentenced to not less than three nor more than ten years in the state penitentiary. He has ninety days to appeal to the supreme court.
