Medicine Hat mulls private hub as Methanex eyes carbon upgrade
Methanex and Entropy outline a 100 million study at the Medicine Hat methanol plant to capture and repurpose CO2 and sequester some underground while City Hall withholds full details on its own Project Clear Horizon. City officials say no off take agreements exist yet though timelines rely on future deals. Entropy cites Glacier plant CO2 projects in northwest Alberta and aims to extend carbon capture into the chemical sector as part of a regional open access hub planned west of the city.
