Immense damage reported 12 miles northeast of Moose Jaw after a cyclone swept the district between six and seven o'clock Tuesday night. Farm buildings were demolished and homes shifted off foundations while crops suffered wind and rain damage. Hail was large but sparse with 14 inch circumference stones near Tuxford. Traffic delayed by downed lines and poles north of Tuxford toward Marquis.

Several thousand men quit work after a demonstration at Birkenhead across the Mersey. Coastal and cross channel service has also been stopped. Body of missing Fernie bridegroom found in Elk River

Family survives dramatic car plunge into river near Gravelbourg
In Gravelbourg on Sunday a car plunged 20 feet into water twelve feet deep after skidding off a farm road. H Hymen rescued his wife, sister, and young daughter. he later found his 12 year old son after the vehicle submerged upside down. The boy suffered only a bruise and shock.

Boy Confesses 10 Shooting Woman in Kamloops
