Spanish judge revoked visitation rights for Luis Miguel Gomez after he ran his 10-year-old son with a pack of charging bulls at Pamplona's San Fermin festival. Images showed the boy smiling as the dangerous stunt drew sharp outrage from officials and the ex-wife. The judge cited endangering the child. Gomez had earlier faced a US$200 fine from Pamplona authorities. He said he hopes to run with his son in other events.

Axe wielding man charged after parking lot incident

An 18 year old man faced charges after wielding an axe in a Medicine Hat Silver Buckle parking lot. Police stopped a red Chevrolet vehicle on Collier Road near Southview Drive, two people were taken into custody, the female driver released with no charges, the 18-year-old passenger charged with uttering threats to cause death and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, court appearance set for Aug 28.

RCMP Seek Stolen Purple Bike and New Battery

Brooks RCMP investigate theft of a purple and black mountain bike and a brand new battery from a residence on 3rd Street. The items were taken from the yard sometime between June 29 and July 8. Police urge anyone with information to contact Brooks RCMP.

Calgary officer charged with aggravated assault in arrest case

Calgary police Constable Sean Hasson, 28, faces an aggravated assault charge after a man filed a formal complaint alleging jaw fracture and perforated eardrum during an arrest on December 9, 2005. Hasson, with five years of service, is relieved from duty and to appear in court on August 16.
