A large Irvine crowd attended the 26th Irvine Stampede with racing crowds estimated at about ge cays lined up around the new half mile track. The event featured Ro man and chariot racing and airplane riding with prompt prize payments and a well prepared venue.
Paris July 17 The French Chamber of Deputies again supported Premier Poincare by voting 350 to 288 against a Socialist motion to place the Rhineland evacuation dispute into the debt accord debate. Poincare, fatigued after days of speeches on the debt accord with Britain and the United States, remained in bed with Deputy Prime Minister Barthou saying he may appear tomorrow or Friday.
Chicago health authorities blamed a methyl chloride refrigerating system leak for the deaths of Joseph Painter 32, his wife Mary 21, and their infant son Joseph in their apartment. Berner? Howard N. Bundesen stated the leak caused the fatalities.
Dr. Hugo Eckener stated that the Graf Zeppelin’s next flight to the United States is planned for the first week of August though the exact date is not fixed.
An explosion at 3 30 a m in Cornwall Ontario triggered a blaze destroying four houses on Gay Street. Osiah Givoque his wife their grandchild Rita Givoque Cecille Peche died. Hermidas Piche and his wife were badly burned but expected to recover. Baptiste Givoque and wife slightly injured. Origin of the explosion not yet known.

Edmonton reports a jury found Eskimo Osuk Osok Susuk guilty of manslaughter in the Bathurst Eskimo community case on Herschel Island. Okchina was sentenced to one year at RCMP Barracks Herschel Island. Lily Sarniyak, aged 14 or 15, received a one year term with suspension for infanticide. The trial, led by Judge Lucien Dubuc, followed sinister reports of abuse and a plotted killing.
Niagara Falls N Y July 17 Two men and two women killed and a girl fatally injured when an automobile carrying them collided with a railroad engine on the Lena crossing near Cambria northeast of Niagara Falls. The car was carried 300 feet then flung aside and set afire.
Dr. Flow Gershaw M P for the constituency visited local friends and noted that the CP F is running a voluntary daily mixed train service here after railway commissioners declined the recommendation for a daily mixed train from September to December He is hopeful for a continuous daily service on the line.
