D L Smith of Canadian Co operative Wheat Producers Ltd told the American Institute of Co operative Wheat Producers that 127 000 farmers are finding profitable grain markets. He predicted the pools will market around 250 million bushels of all grains this year with about 75 percent exported. He said Western Canada is now more prosperous than in years.
A mass meeting for all returned men is set for Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the G W V A Hall Medicine Hat. Comrade Alex Walker Calgary Provincial Chairman of the Canadian Legion Alberta Branch will speak outlining current work and pension matters and answer questions. The meeting follows up a campaign for increased membership and underscores the G W V A role in aiding veterans and dependents.

Bisley Camp July 17 Canadian Press Cable Sergt A G Fulton England veteran of 72 won the King's Prize after a shoot-off with Dr F Kelley Cadet Vehey and Lieut B Highes. Finalists each scored 286 of 800 in stages two and three. Fulton of Queen's Westminsters also won the prize in 1920.
Flood waters from a ruptured dike near Apatin and Vojvodine inundate about 40000 acres of productive soil in Jugoslavia. Thousands seek refuge on house tops as relief teams evacuate them. London July 17 Premier Baldwin agreed to receive a delegation from the Anglican and Free churches regarding peace in the coal fields where miners are on strike. The churches offered the joint effort in a letter to the Bishop of Lichfield.
