Planned outage in Ross Glen area for underground cable work

The City of Medicine Hat Electric Utility will cut power for about 1 hour 30 minutes on Sunday July 17 from 6:00 to 7:30 a.m. in Ross Glen and adjacent areas including Dunmore Road Rossmere Rossland Ross Haven Redwood Calder East Glen and several signalized intersections. Intersections will operate as four way stops during the outage.

Peace Air exits Medicine Hat Hat airport service ends

Peace Air announced it will leave Medicine Hat at month end leaving Air Canada as the sole carrier. Airport manager Cuyler Green called the move a disappointment and said the airport will pursue future market opportunities and remain open to Air Canada and other carriers. Corrie Stolz of the Chamber of Commerce noted the loss of inbound southern traffic to Edmonton City Centre Airport was a key reason for Peace Air's exit. The airline began operations in Medicine Hat January 20 2004 and carried about six percent of the airport's 30 000 annual passengers.

Hungarian Meat Manager Detained Over Tenderloin Fraud
