Mayhew, 39, charged with second degree murder in the death of his 15 year old daughter Amber Dickson. He is to appear in the Court of Queen's Bench on Wednesday July 22 to plead, after an earlier arraignment set Aug. 5 for trial date. A Calgary area four year old abducted from a Brooks yard was found after more than 12 hours and released by a roadside home. Police arrested 36 year old Hughes R Michaud in Calgary and the family thanked the Brooks community and pastors who joined in prayer. The mother said the child is well and playing with friends while a psychologist provides support.
Ottawa Finance Minister Paul Martin says bank mergers won’t go ahead if consumers suffer even with Bureau approval. The Competition Bureau releases regional guidelines and plans to use Bankers Association data to assess competition impact.
