Born in Bessarabia Oct 12 1884 he emigrated to Canada 1902 settling Maple Creek then Schuler. Survived by family including eight children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

L Fleckenstein Requeim High Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick s Church Priday at 10 a m for Lukas Fleckenstein who died Wednesday in Medicine Hat General Hospital Monsignor E J McCoy will be celebrant with interment to follow in the Roman Catholic section of Hillside Cemetery under direction of the Pattison Funeral Home Surviving are his wife Rosa six sons Emmanuel John Adolph Lukas and Albert of Medicine Hat and Reinhold of Fairview Alta four daughters Christina Mrs J Obrigewitch of Fairview Katherine Mrs A Martain of Kelowna B C plus others and extended family in the Fox Valley district where he farmed and lived before moving to Medicine Hat in 1946.
