Energy plant near Taber to create jobs and fuel future
In southern Alberta a demonstration gas to liquids plant near Taber could hire about 300 workers to build the facility. The federal government pledged 700000 dollars in support with partners Synergy Technologies Crop and Stone Canyon Resources and Renaissance Energy Ltd. The project aims to use Synergy’s energy efficient process to produce high value liquid fuels from natural gas, potentially transforming the energy sector with a global market estimated at 175 billion dollars. The four barrel per day plant is due for completion early next year.
