LGX doubles lawsuit over Manyberries drilling restrictions
LGX Energy and the City of Medicine Hat doubled the damages sought to 123 million dollars in a federal case over environmental limits near Manyberries leases. Ottawa’s defence argues applicable Species at Risk Act provisions were known and that no land was expropriated. A separate Medicine Hat suit seeks 71 million for losses from late 2013 drilling restrictions south of the city and in southwest Saskatchewan.
