Weadick announces $25 million flood mitigation stockpile plan
At a Medicine Hat press conference Minister Greg Weadick unveiled a $25 million program to build temporary flood mitigation equipment stockpiles across the province. He said equipment would be listed in a government database for rapid deployment to affected communities. additional funding of about $7 million may be available and erosion control funding around $600,000 is also in reserve.
