The city asks residents to submit feedback on a traffic flow plan for a new bridge. Cards may be mailed or turned in at City Hall or the engineering building, or given to personnel on duty at the bridge Wednesday.

A full-grown lynx about 5% feet long was shot Monday afternoon near Atlee, 75 miles north of Medicine Hat. Rancher George Howe hunted it down after a mail carrier spotted the big cat on the road. It was skinned by the Garrioch and Howe boys to keep the hide awhile. the sighting marks a rare Atlee district occurrence.
AP reports the United States may detonate two additional high altitude nuclear devices at Johnston Island before the program ends, depending on results from the first successful test. The plan for three or four shots remains, with the Christmas Island phase nearing end as ships and planes are barred from the zone. Twenty four devices have been fired since April 25, mostly at low altitude. Sunday's Thor-launched blast reached about 200 miles high with power around 1,000,000 tons of TNT, with unconfirmed estimates near 10,000,000 tons.
