Lightning Kills Two at Orange Hall in Rossmore
In Belleville Ontario Wellington Bowers 52 and son Harold 23 were killed when a bolt struck the chimney during Orange Lodge work at Rednersville five miles away. Five others suffered shock and minor injuries as the bolt traveled via the stove pipe and struck the Bowers on opposite sides of the room.
