Car bombs kill 12 in southern Lebanon border area
Two car bomb blasts within 10 minutes hit entrances to the security buffer zone in southern Lebanon. Israeli military sources report 12 dead, mostly Lebanese civilians and SLA troops, with two Israeli soldiers among the wounded. The first blast struck an SLA checkpoint near Hasbaya, the second near Ras al-Riyadeh about 10 km north of the border.
