Blaiberg Still Improving After Heart Transplant
CAPE TOWN AP Blaiberg the 59 year old retired dentist and world’s longest surviving heart transplant recipient showed further improvement after a good night’s sleep. He remained on anti lymphocyte serum flown from Europe for pneumonia while recovering from a hepatitis and doctors previously considered a second transplant but he began to recover. Dr Christiaan Barnard said Blaiberg has regained his will to live and the heart is functioning better.
