Calgary climbers conquer Canada’s highest peak summit
Four Calgary mountaineers completed the ascent of Mount Logan's west summit amid a historic firsts trek. Jim Elzinga and John Lauchlan reached the top after a grueling climb with Ray Jotterand and Allan Burgess taking a safer route when illness delayed the final push. They reached the peak within a day of each other and spent little time at the summit due to the frigid conditions.
