Grain Act debated by House committee in Ottawa

Big Dam Project Goes On Despite Cold Weather
A. M. Grace of the Southern Alberta Land Co reports continued activity on a major dam project. Forty men work the main ditch at Sunfield, another crew builds a mile long fifty two foot high frame dam, and seventy men construct a huge concrete wall for an intake to Lake McGregor. The lake will be twenty one miles long and up to two and a half miles wide, with depths around thirty eight feet, plus two additional lakes to form a large water system for irrigation. Forty two teams haul materials while nine engineers work on plans in Sunfield and four in the Hat office.
