Dozier Rescued From Red Brigades in Padua Raid
U S Brig. Gen. James Dozier was freed after Italian police stormed an apartment in Padua where Red Brigades terrorists held a pistol to his head. Five Italians surrendered with no resistance. Dozier, NATO's top U S military official in Verona, was kidnapped Dec. 17 and kept in a “people's prison” for 42 days.
