Musa Khazayev, a 28-year-old Medicine Hat resident, appeared in court after his Dec. 19 arrest. He is accused of taking his wife, 23, and her four children ages six, four, three and 10 months to Calgary and holding them at a home. He faces five counts of unlawful confinement, one threat of death, one assault with a weapon, and two breach of recognizance charges. The court date was moved to Feb. 9.
