A Yorkshire minister John Fawcett turns down a London call to stay at Wainsgate Baptist Church with his family. He lived a devout life, wrote practical religion works and the beloved hymn on Christian brotherhood. He died July 25 1817 leaving a cherished memory and enduring hymn.
