Move Black Widows reports a bank man ager F C Boyce saying a widow spider mother produced 250 youngsters and another cocoon. He expects hatching in a week and vows better containment next time. Workers found spiders on desks and in drawers. most brood killed while some escaped to nearby buildings. Locals note no objection to the spiders.
Alberta stockmen led by George Ross and Magnus Bjork met Premier Aberhart and cabinet ministers in Edmonton to press for rent and tax relief. The province agreed to new payment terms for leases and arrears, with rent in advance and taxes on or before December 15 1937, plus an eventual seven year plan at 4 percent interest. Ross said the hearing was sympathetic and production-based rental proposals would be studied.

The indictment named Karl Ha dek ex editor of Izvestia and Leon Trotzky as figures in a scheme backed by Germany and Japan to overthrow the Russian Communist regime. Sakhalin Island is cited as a resource rich Russian territory involved in the conspiracy.

He proposed a government guaranteed minimum price and a cooperative pooling system run by producers, with contingencies for suspending pooling during market downturns.
