Truck Driver Charged in Wife's Death Near Lethbridge
Ronald Frederick Hudson a 32 year old Lethbridge truck driver was charged with capital murder after his wife Dorothy Hudson went missing a week earlier. Police and soldiers searched irrigation ditches between Picture Butte and Nobleford for her body as temperatures dropped to 11 below zero. Hudson was remanded in magistrate's court without plea until Jan 30 after being arrested in a downtown restaurant following the investigation. The Hudsons have four children. Mrs. Hudson worked for Alberta Government Telephones and was reported missing January 14. Police offered no motive or manner of death.
