Two more Sourland residents near the Lindbergh estate identified Bruno Richard Hauptmann as the man lurking before the kidnapping and murder. Millar White testified he saw Hauptmann twice within a fortnight. Charles Rossiter said he saw him on the road near Princeton airport about 14 miles from Hopewell four days before the baby was stolen.

Family Is Overcome by Gas Fumes in Turner Valley
CALGARY Jan 22. Overcome by gas fumes, Mr and Mrs A Smith and their children were rescued from their Turner Valley home after a son, dazed, trudged over a mile in sub zero weather for help. All were unconscious when found. Two roomers also were aided. The cold wave has caused frozen and leaky gas pipes to poison several others in the valley.

Calgary relief strikers warned to work on civic projects
