City of Medicine Hat names Collin Gallan to CAO post

Council selects Merete Heggelund as chief administrator for Medicine Hat after an unanimous vote. The 53 year old Norwegian-born executive has led corporate services since 2012 and will oversee a 130 million dollar budget for 1,300 staff. She previously served as Statoil Canada VP of business development and directed a large operating division.
