Johnson stripped of world records in 100 and indoor sprints
The IAAF ruled Canadian sprinter Ben Johnson’s world records in the 100 meters and indoor 50 and 60 meter dashes are erased due to his admitted use of performance enhancing drugs. Carl Lewis gains an outdoor 100m world record of 9.92 seconds from Seoul 1988. The decision also nullifies Issajenko’s indoor 50 meter record.
