Water treatment plant over budget by 3.85 million
The city will spend an extra 3.85 million to finish a long planned water treatment facility begun last year. Councillors debated funding and responsibility as inflation and provincial delays pushed costs above a 30 million estimate. The project will use infrastructure reserve cash to meet Alberta Environment discharge standards.
