Sledge hockey jamboree showcases MHASA community spirit
Medicine Hat Adaptive Sport and Recreation hosted its first sledge hockey jamboree in two years at the Big Marble Go Centre. Calgary and Medicine Hat junior and intermediate teams competed while a Saturday try-it event invited newcomers like 14-year-old Austen Fitzpatrick to experience the sport. Volunteers led by Derek Whitson celebrated community turnout and the chance for local youths to play meaningful games against another city.
