Gas and chemicals ignite large refinery fire near Cologne
An explosion at the Rheinish Olefin refinery between Cologne and Bonn injured at least 20 people, with 27 hurt according to the operator. A burning gas cloud rose more than 500 metres, and the initial blast occurred at 3:55 p.m. in an ethyl producing unit. several injuries are serious.

Medicine Hat police will rely on citizen complaints to guide investigations of video movies and similar material, says Chief Norm McLeod.
