A Friday night ball at the 4. W. M. Police Barracks drew a full crowd in two large mess rooms. Guests enjoyed a 30 piece program under Messrs. Reid and McCarthy with elaborate costumes and orderly service by the police staff.

The Woman's Hospital Aid Society met on Thursday with officers elected for 1902. President Mrs Nicholson Vice President Mrs Cunliffe Secretary Miss Tweed Treasurer Mrs Noble Executive Committee also named. President reports funds and membership growth despite not starting the nurse home.
A Fort Benton River Press item notes Robt Grayson injured by a saddle horse accident at Gros Ventre Creek. Wolves disrupt cattle at hillfoot and several ranchers report losses. Neighbors Campbell Brock and others moved calves and Scott the Eagle Butte postmaster herded estray cattle. Sam Larson clashed with Tom Cunningham near Dobson after New Years, Cunningham overpowering Larson and seizing his gun amid prior train robbery fears.
