Germany to Deposit 20 Billion Marks as Reparations

Paris reports the Allied commission will fix Germany's reparations by May 1 1921. Germany must immediately deposit 20 billion marks in gold or equivalent assets and the government must issue gold bonds for the full amount. An additional 40 billion marks in negotiable gold bonds will be exacted, plus another 40 billion bonds depending on German finances.

Canadian Wheat Board eases millers’ certificate rule

Winnipeg Jan 2 An order from the Canadian Wheat Board states that mill licensees in Manitoba Saskatchewan and Alberta who grind wheat for farmers and return the full product to the owners are not required to issue participation certificates or remit 62 cents per bushel. The mill licensee must report to the Board the owner name quantity ground and amount of flour or other product returned.
