Medicine Hat Relief Costs Paid Says Public Works Minister
Edmonton January 6 The minister of public works Hon O L McPherson says all accounts for the province’s share of relief work costs from Medicine Hat have been paid. He notes September bills were received October 15 and a 746 60 check sent October 20. October accounts arrived December 9 with city treasurer’s note about delays. A 3 249 00 amount was audited and a further 25 per cent check issued. November and December bills are still expected. McPherson says payments flow via Ottawa to the province for forwarding to the city and reports no protests from Medicine Hat officials prior to Mayor Bullivant’s statement.
