Medicine Hat council eyes 2013 to do list in final year

Harper agrees to meeting with First Nations leaders next week

Prime Minister Stephen Harper consents to a meeting with First Nations leaders brokered by the Assembly of First Nations. Chief Theresa Spence, fasting since December 11, says she will stay on hunger strike until the meeting occurs. Senior helper tech pilot stalls over value and cost

A $2 million Alberta pilot to aid seniors at home found benefits far below expectations with many participants returning devices due to cost and limited perceived value.
