Police warn on coin roll fraud suspects sought

Brooks RCMP issued a warning after one or two men swapped coin rolls for paper currency at local businesses on January 3. The rolls, found to contain a dime at each end with pennies in the center, prompted police to seek public help in identifying the suspects. Anyone with information can contact the Brooks RCMP detachment or Brooks and District Crime.

Milton Rural Municipality to Form One Officer Police Force

The RM of Milton in Saskatchewan plans a single police officer to patrol 700 kilometres of roads to curb patch traffic damage. Population around 1300, near Lloydminster on the Alberta border, aims to hire by summer with initial costs near $150,000. RCMP previously patrolled the area. Corman Park and Vanscoy have public police services.
