ANKARA CP Canadians and other foreign nationals were evacuated from Tehran by Hercules planes, with 374 flown out over two days and 70 more waiting for Friday transport. A British ship carried about 60 Westerners from Bandar Abbas as violence and looting plagued areas around the capital.

Fire destroys vacant mobile home on dairy farm southwest of city
Doug Hoggard reported a propane heater ignited straw insulation, destroying a $13,000 trailer on his dairy farm about three miles southwest of town.
