In Clair Saskatchewan on New Year’s Eve Harry Neviski 35 returned to his wife’s home after months away. Crossfield Fire Destroys Elevator and Depot
A blaze at Crossfield 300 miles north of Calgary destroyed the Midland and Pacific Grain elevator and the Canadian Pacific station. Over 35 000 bushels of grain burned and damage reached about 400 dollars. Telegraph lines were wrecked disrupting Calgary Edmonton communications. The fire began in the elevator engine room at 7 this morning and smoldered at noon with flames under control.
