Sakamoto named Medicine Hat News Newsmaker of the Year 2018
Mark Sakamoto of Medicine Hat earned the News’ Newsmaker honor for 2018 after his book Forgiveness became a CBC Canada Reads finalist and winner. The memoir of his grandparents, written over 20 months and published in 2014, drew national attention and CBC is developing a mini series with Hiro Kanagawa drafting a play.
