Medicine Hat secured 6.45 million for flood berm expansion
Transportation Minister Brian Mason announced 6.45 million in funding to complete and extend Medicine Hat flood berms. About 4 million from the Alberta Community Resilience Program will go to Lions Park Berm and 2.4 million to a 900 metre berm linking Lions Park to Industrial Avenue as the city advances 7.1 kilometres of flood defenses started after the 2013 flood.
